‘Foremost of the Westerners’ is the name of an Egyptian god of the dead. In ancient Egypt, the west was the place of burial and death – however in American culture the west has often been depicted as a place of promise and hope. This piece explores the excesses, fantasies, and idealism of Western culture in the form of a giant all-consuming bunny straddling the space between death and salvation.
