Aegis

Part of my ‘Perseus’ series. In the Perseus myth, the hero safely watches Medusa’s reflection in his shield, allowing him to sneak up and behead her. The reflected image apparently provides a layer of invincibility, allowing the hero to gaze unaffected by the horror in front of him.
